Description

Clomipramine hydrochloride (Anafranil) is a hydrochloride salt of clomipramine which is an ST (serotonin transporter/SERT), SLC6A2 (norepinephrine transporter/NET), and DAT (dopamine transporter) blocker with K_i of 0.14, 54 and 3 nM, respectively. Clomipramine hydrochloride is a tricyclic antidepressant, a norepinephrine-reuptake inhibitor, and an antiobsessional drug.

Clomipramine hydrochloride is an inhibitor of D2 receptor (K_i = 162 nM), D3 receptor (K_i = 30 nM), AR (α1-adrenergic receptor, K_i = 3.2 nM), α2-adrenergic receptor (K_i = 525 nM), H1 receptor (K_i = 31 nM), mACh receptors (K_i = 37 nM), 5-HT2A receptor (K_i = 36 nM), 5-HT2C receptor (K_i = 65 nM), 5-HT3 receptor (K_i = 85 nM), 5-HT6 receptor (K_i = 54 nM), 5-HT7 receptor (K_i = 127 nM), D1 receptor (K_i = 219 nM).
