Description

Debrisoquin sulfate is an antihypertensive. It is metabolized to 4-hydroxydebrisoquin by debrisoquin 4-hydroxylase. Debrisoquin sulfate is useful indicator for cytochrome P-450 polymorphism. This can also be used to probe for CYP2D6 activity as well as phenotype individuals as extensive or poor metabolizers. Debrisoquin sulfate is a substrate of CYP2D6.
