Description

1,2,3,4,5,6-Hexabromocyclohexane is a potent and specific inhibitor of JAK2 autophosphorylation. In silico simulation indicates that 1,2,3,4,5,6-Hexabromocyclohexane accesses a binding pocket positioned adjacent to the activation loop on the JAK2 protein. Growth hormone-mediated JAK2 autophosphorylation was greatly reduced by 1,2,3,4,5,6-Hexabromocyclohexane, and it was shown to not block autophosphorylation of the epidermal growth factor receptor.
