Description

Linoleic Acid is a fatty acid that has been observed to influence the inflammatory process and regulate the functions of neutrophils. Research has demonstrated that Linoleic Acid has cytotoxic activity and induces cell apoptosis by augmenting cellular oxidant status and inducing mitochondrial dysfunction. Additionally, the compound has been shown to stimulate the growth of MDA-MB-231 cells, increase the production of thromboxanes and prostaglandins, and reduce the levels of HHT and HETE. Linoleic Acid is an activator of PPAR.
