Description

Myristic Acid ethyl ester, is a 16 carbon saturated fatty acid, shown to be readily metabolized and incorporated into triglycerides. Saturated fatty acids (SFAs), such as Myristic Acid ethyl ester, have been reported to be essential for biological activities of lipopolysaccharides (LPSs). Furthermore, SFAs display the capacity to induce NFκB (nuclear factor κB) activation and Cox-2 expression.
