Description

Prostaglandin D2 Ethanolamide is a PGD2 analog formed via Anandamide (Arachinodoyl Ethanolamine; AEA), which acts as a substrate for cyclooxygenase. The conversion of AEA to prostaglandins has been demonstrated with many different eicosanoids, some of which display unique biological activity. The use of these prostaglandin analogues is integral for structure-activity studies used in the deconvolution of these complex biochemical pathways.
