Description

Prostaglandin I3 (sodium salt) is synthesized from EPA by COX and PGI synthase. PGI3 has a short half-life before it is hydrolyzed to Δ17-6-keto PGF1&alpha. The platelet and vascular activity of PGI3 is equivalent to that of PGI2.
