Description

Naturally occurring phenylpropene derivative that is estrogenic at lower concentrations and cytotoxic at higher concentrations in cancer cell lines. The cytotoxicity is related to the metabolism of trans-anethole to 4-hydroxy-1-propenylbenzene.
